From Hobart to Brittany to San Diego, over the years we have travelled to wooden boat festivals around the world – and now we are excited to have our own! 13-15 March 2026 marks the second edition of the Auckland Wooden Boat Festival – and it’s going to be a special one!

All the vessels on display at the Auckland Wooden Boat Festival are originals or restored as close as possible to the original.
New Zealand reportedly boasts one of the largest fleet of authentic classic boats in the world
This is largely thanks to the enduring nature of kāuri timber which is strong and durable, creating boats that last the test of time

About Moana Auckland – New Zealand’s Ocean Festival
Moana Auckland is New Zealand’s Ocean Festival and it’s on from 28 February to March 15 2026. This includes the 25th Auckland Boat Show from 5-8 March where there are more than 150 boats on display in the water including many available to sea trial and 500 brands on display.
